The lifetime warranty covers all new manufactured items sold to homeowners and businesses and includes material, workmanship, transportation, and installation.
Designer Closets & Cabinets Lifetime Warranty
This document outlines the Lifetime Warranty provided by Designer Closets & Cabinets ("Company") for all custom closet and cabinet systems ("Product") manufactured, transported, and installed by our authorized representatives. This warranty reflects our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
1. Warranty Coverage & Duration
Designer Closets & Cabinets warrants its Product to the original purchaser for as long as they own or rent the residence or business premises where the Product was initially installed ("Lifetime"). This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original installation address and owner.
2. What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects and damage related to the quality of our workmanship and materials under normal residential or commercial use. Specifically, we cover:
- •Manufacturing Defects: Any flaw or fault in the Product that originates from the manufacturing process of the Product.
- •Material Defects: Any failure or defect in the raw materials used, including delamination, bubbling, or structural failure of cabinet boxes, shelves, and drawer components under normal use.
- •Transportation Damage: Any damage to the Product that occurs while it is being transported to the installation site by Company personnel or our designated shipping partners.
- •Installation Damage: Any damage to the Product that occurs during the professional installation process performed by our authorized installers.
3. Exclusions: What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not extend to damage or defects resulting from factors outside of our manufacturing and installation process. Exclusions include:
- •Normal Wear and Tear: The natural aging and deterioration of the Product over time, including minor scratches, scuffs, fading, or changes in color due to sunlight or artificial lighting.
- •Improper Use or Abuse: Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, mishandling, or failure to follow care and maintenance instructions.
- •Overloading or Over Exertion: Damage caused by placing excessive weight on shelves, drawers, or rods beyond their intended load capacity.
- •Abnormal Use: Any use of the Product for purposes other than its intended design for storage.
- •Environmental Factors: Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, water, or other acts of God.
- •Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Any alterations, repairs, or modifications made to the Product by anyone other than an authorized representative of Designer Closets & Cabinets.
- •Accidental Damage: Damage resulting from accidents, impacts, or breakage after the installation has been completed and approved.
4. How to Make a Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must contact Designer Closets & Cabinets directly via email. The following must be provided:
- Proof of purchase (original invoice or contract copy or contract number).
- Proof of payment for the purchase under the original invoice or the contract.
- The name and address on the original contract.
- The date the issue of the claim was noticed, and under what circumstances the damage, breakage or imperfection of the installed product was noticed.
- A clear description of the issue.
- Close up and wide angle photographs or video evidence clearly showing the defect or damage.
Mail all details, including photographs, videos, description and other details to warranty@designer-closets.com. Our team will review the claim and may schedule an in-person inspection (if necessary) to assess the issue.
5. Our Obligation
Upon verification of a valid warranty claim, Designer Closets & Cabinets will, at its sole discretion, either:
- •Repair the defective component or Product to its original condition.
- •Replace the defective component or Product with a similar or equivalent item if a repair is not feasible.
The Company will cover all costs for materials and labor associated with the repair or replacement under this warranty.
6. General Provisions and Limitations
This document represents the sole and exclusive warranty offered by Designer Closets & Cabinets and supersedes any prior or oral warranties or representations. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. The laws of the State of Florida shall govern this warranty.
