Deluxe Edgebanding

Upgrade from 0.5 mm to 1 mm for greater edge protection and a more finished, rounded profile on exposed panel edges.

Edgebanding is applied to the exposed edges of panels to seal raw plywood and particle board, match the decorative surface, and protect the core from moisture and wear. Our standard solution performs well for most projects; when you want a step up in durability and appearance, we offer a deluxe 1 mm upgrade in place of the typical 0.5 mm band.

Comparison of edgeband thicknesses: standard and deluxe profiles on panel edges for greater protection and a finished look.

Edgebanding gives the panel a finished look that matches the panel surface. It seals the edge and helps block moisture from penetrating plywood and particle board.

Deluxe edgebanding uses a thicker band so the outer edge reads as a softer, more rounded profile while adding strength along high-touch edges.

Standard — 0.5 mm edgebanding

Our standard edgebanding provides solid protection for panel edges and a clean, finished appearance. It is a great fit for most colorways and is used across the majority of products we build, giving every exposed edge a consistent, furniture-grade look.

Diagram of thin edgebanding on a panel edge: the band meets at a sharp point and follows imperfections in the plywood or particle board core, where thicker banding eases the corner to a rounded edge.
Thin edgebanding meets the panel at a sharp point and tends to telegraph any imperfection in the core beneath it. A thicker band eases that corner to a rounded edge and sits proud of the substrate rather than following it.

Greater protection to the edges

Thicker deluxe edgebanding adds resilience where panels see daily contact — corners, openings, and high-traffic cabinet runs.

Deluxe — 1 mm edgebanding

Deluxe edgebanding offers a thicker profile at the edge of the panel. That extra material means a more substantial feel, better resistance to chips and impacts, and a visibly softer radius on the corner — the look many homeowners expect on premium casework and built-ins.
